About the Spanish Program at Expressions
Lee-Ann Laffey started teaching Spanish at Expressions Learning Arts Academy in August 2007. A former professor of Spanish and Latin American Literature, Dr. Laffey has relished the opportunity to share her excitement about the Spanish language to all of the students at Expressions. In these Spanish classes, students learn useful vocabulary - from clothing to classroom objects. They also develop their understanding of grammar including greetings, common questions, and declarative statements. In addition, students actively integrate their developing knowledge of cultural and historical events - from foods, holidays, and music - in the form of art projects, skits, and small performances.
